  • Lucas Magni

    Coach

Coach Lucas is a proud Bay Area native and his connection to basketball began at the age of five, when he first began playing recreationally. Over time, this passion evolved into a competitive career, as he played for both Capuchino high school’s varsity team and in AAU basketball. Starting as a freshman on the varsity team ignited a deep love for the game, one that has only grown stronger throughout the years.

After high school, Lucas’s relationship with basketball continued to deepen, particularly through an interest in the mental side of sports. This led him to pursuing a Master's in Sport and Performance Psychology, at Dominican University of California, where he focuses on helping athletes explore the deeper motivations behind their passion for the game and how to enhance their mental performance. He hopes to graduate in the Spring of 2025.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Lucas has been coaching AAU and high school basketball for the past two years. Through coaching, he has been able to pass on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of players while further enhancing his own understanding of the game.
